Year 4

Welcome to Year 4!

This year our learning will take us to America in Road Trip USA, we will learn about music and dive deep into the depths of the under water world, we will travel back to one of the most famous dates in English history, 1066! We will also be investigating the busy world inside our body.

We have got a very exciting year ahead!

Useful information

Our PE days are: Monday and Tuesday

HOME LEARNING: Children should be encouraged to read at home at least 4 times a week. They should also access the maths programmes (TTRS and Accelerated reader) as much as possible. Children will also received a parent planner with creative homework projects on, as well as spellings to practise. 


EVERYDAY - Reading books, home/school diaries, P.E. kits and water bottles to be in school. (Water bottles should be taken home each day to be cleaned).


P.E. Kit

Please provide your child with the following P.E. kit, as they will be taking part in some outdoor P.E. throughout the winter.

- T-shirt (house colour or white only)

- shorts

- tracksuit bottoms

- sweatshirt or hooded top

- trainers/pumps

Please bring your kit to school on a Monday and it will be returned on the Friday as there may be some weeks where children may have additional games lessons. Please ensure children have their kits in school on these days and all jewellery is removed.
