Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back, I hope everyone had a lovely half-term. We have certainly enjoyed the sunshine that we experienced at the start of the week. We can finally say Spring is here!
Miss Ryan from Ankermoor visited Heathfields to see the good practise and delivery of reading and phonics lessons. She was impressed with the standard of reading at the school.
Staffing update;
We have welcomed two new lunchtime supervisors: Mrs Farr and Mrs Davies, both are supporting in the Reception playground.
Mrs Lloyd-Warren (lunchtime supervisor) has welcomed a new additional to her family. We are pleased to announce the safe arrival of her new baby . . . a little girl was safely delivered today.
Jeffers' class has welcomed Miss Bartlett (Miss Bartlett is usually based at Glascote Academy but wants to experience a key stage 1 class and will be sharing Jeffers class with Mrs Baggott for the next 6 weeks)
Upcoming event - Easter Bonnet Parade
We will be holding our annual Easter Bonnet Parade on Friday 27th March (weather permitting). All children are asked to make/decorate an Easter hat/bonnet and parade around the playground.
We hope that we have a visit from the Easter Bunny, and they will bring some treats for the best hats/bonnets!

World Book Day Competition
Heathfields
‘Book in a jar’ competition!
A Book in a Jar is a fun, creative way for children to celebrate World Book Day by bringing a story to life inside a simple jar. Children can choose their favourite book and fill a jar with tiny objects, drawings, or decorations that represent the story.
It’s like creating a mini world from the book—right inside the jar! So why not save a jar from the recycling bin and get creative!
Here are some examples:

£1 entry
There will be 3 winners that will win a wonderful prize!
Please bring your jars in by Wednesday 4th March ready for the jars to be judged on World Book day itself (Thursday 5th March)
All funds raised will be used to buy more amazing books for our class libraries at Heathfields!
Please see Mrs Lampitt for any queries
