Dear Parents and Carers
As we move further into the term, I would like to thank all parents and carers who attended our Parents' Evening this week. It was wonderful to see so many families in school, sharing in their children's learning, looking through their books and celebrating the fantastic start they have made in their new classes. The children have settled down exceptionally well and are already demonstrating great enthusiasm for learning.
Our Reception children have also enjoyed starting their PE lessons and have embraced these exciting sessions with lots of energy and enthusiasm. After half term, Reception pupils will need a formal PE kit consisting of black shorts and a blue T-shirt, with royal blue being our preferred colour. We would be grateful for your support in ensuring your child has the correct kit ready for the start of the new half term.
Next weekend all children will come home with their English and Maths books for you to share and discuss what you and they are proud of.

This week there was a slight decline in our attendance.

Results of Summer Reading Challenge
Thank you to those parents and children that completed the Summer Reading Challenge. This is an increase in numbers compared with last year and the library team acknowledge this improvement . . . . next year Mrs Bradshaw is aiming for the top of the leader board!

Harvest Festival Food Bank Collection
Thank you to those that have contributed to our food bank donations. We are arranging the collection for next week so there is still time on Monday or Tuesday to drop off some donations.
As part of our Harvest celebrations, we are inviting families to support the Tamworth Foodbank by donating items that will help local people and families in need. Throughout the week, a wheelbarrow will be placed at both school gates to collect donations.
