With just one week left before we break up for the summer, it has been another extremely busy week with discos, award assemblies and music concerts, all enjoyed in the midst of the recent warm weather!
Reports
All children’s end of year reports are now available for you to download from your Arbor account.

There will be an optional Report Open Evening on Wednesday 15th July, where parents are invited to drop into their child’s classroom between 3:20pm and 4:00pm to discuss their child’s report with the class teacher.
Reading Books
Please can all reading books be returned to school this week. New reading books for all children will be reissued in September.
Year 6 T-Shirts
Year 6 pupils may wish to bring a T-shirt into school for their friends and classmates to sign as a keepsake of their time at Wilnecote Junior Academy. To support this, pupils may bring a T-shirt into school on Friday 17th only for signing during the school day.
Year 3 Disco
A reminder that the Year 3 disco is taking place on Tuesday 14th July from 4.00pm - 5.00 pm.
If you have not yet purchased a ticket, please do so via Arbor as soon as possible. All tickets must be paid for in advance and will not be available on the door.
Children should enter the disco through the main school entrance and be collected at the end of the event from the car park gate.
Toy Day
On the last day of term, children are invited to bring a small toy into school. Please ensure that no electronic, valuable or precious items are brought in. While we will encourage children to look after their belongings, we recommend sending in only items that you are comfortable with other children playing with due to the risk of any accidental damage.
Year 6 Summer Leavers Disco
A letter has been emailed to all parents this week with details about the Year 6 Summer Leavers Disco. If you have any queries, please speak to your child's class teacher or the main office.
Year 6 Leavers Performance
Year 6 have been extremely busy with rehearsals for their end of year performance, High School Musical. The last few tickets are available, please check Arbor for details on how to book.
Online Safety
As a school, we have been made aware of pupils accessing apps and online platforms that are displaying inappropriate content. While many apps are designed for entertainment and communication, some can expose children to material that is not suitable for their age.
Here are some things you can do at home to help to keep children safe online :
- Regularly checking which apps and websites your child is using.
- Reviewing privacy and parental control settings on devices and apps.
- Monitoring online activity and discussing safe online behaviour.
- Encouraging your child to speak to a trusted adult if they encounter anything online that makes them feel uncomfortable or worried.
- Ensuring age restrictions for apps and games are followed.
