Heathfields Weekly Update - 17th October

{item_alt_tag}

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you so much for taking the time to look through your children's books and celebrate their learning with them. Your engagement and encouragement mean the world—not only to your child but to us as a school community.

As you’ve seen, the children have been working incredibly hard to develop their writing skills, express their ideas, and reflect on their learning journeys. From imaginative stories to thoughtful reflections, their books are a testament to their growth, creativity, and resilience.

Your messages of support—whether written in their books or shared in conversation—have a powerful impact. They help build confidence, foster pride, and remind each child that their efforts are valued. We deeply appreciate your partnership in nurturing a love of learning.

Menu change

Please remember that there will be a change of  menu on Friday 24th October. The Halloween menu can be found in last week's newsletter.

?? School Disco – Tickets on Sale Today! ???

We’re excited to announce that disco tickets go on sale today at 4pm via Arbor, in the Arbor shop

The Infants Disco will be held at Heathfields, and we can’t wait to see the children enjoying an evening of music, dancing, and fun with their friends.

Please log in to your Arbor account to purchase tickets.

Educational visits

We have booked for the whole school to go to Tamworth Assembly Rooms to watch the pantomine Jack and the Beanstalk. Mrs Gilbert has placed this trip on Arbor so that families can either start paying in installments over the next few months or in whole. Please visit Arbor, Arbor trips for further information

?? Parents Evening Reminder

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to Parents Evening, where you’ll have a 10-minute allocated slot with your child’s teacher. This is a valuable opportunity to discuss:

  • How your child has settled into their new class
  • The targets they are currently working on
  • Any questions or concerns you may have

If you feel you need more time for discussion, your child’s teacher will be happy to arrange a follow-up appointment at an alternative time. Please note that this may take place after half term depending on availability.

Thank you for your continued support—we look forward to seeing you!
